looking into my cube reminds me more and more about ukiyo -e
- the floating world

just wanted to show the different light conditions but it took me
ages to do this image, we'll see maybe I can change the line thicknesses
as well but I think it's already very good readable.
I'd like to keep the color as well to show the cube's front.

Andreas- What do the different tones indicate? If you are trying to represent light qualities, then there needs to be gradation and subtlety. Also, the background is incredibly distracting. The focus should be on the cube, not the background- Jonathan

maybe I took the wrong words, I meant the layering of the material, what's in the front, what's in the back and that there are parts in the back which seem to be more illuminated than the ones in the front,

this might be more abstract but I think If I use gradation for the different layers it will get even more confusing, I'll try it.

the back ground is really not that clear yet. but light is coming from the front and from the back, maybe I should use a bit of color for that and get rid of the red in the front.....
